What is Shared Branching? (TOP ^)
Shared Branching allows members from one credit union to conduct transactions on their account at another credit union, referred to as a CU Service Center. The credit unions are connected via a national switch, much like an ATM. When you go into a CU Service Center, and provide the proper identification, the Member Service Representative can access your USAgencies Credit Union account, and provide you with information and perform transactions just as if you walked into one of our branches.

How does Shared Branching Work? (TOP ^)
Each CU Service Center has a computer link to the CU Service Center Network switch, as does USAgencies Credit Union. When you tell the Member Service Representative you belong to USAgencies Credit Union, they look up our name on their computer, and connect to the CU Service Center Network switch. This is similar to what happens when you insert your ATM card and key in your PIN on an ATM machine. The difference with Shared Branching is that the connection provides much more information to the Member Service Representative than an ATM connection provides to an ATM machine. The transaction is then transmitted back to our main computer at USACU for approval and/or processing.

Do I need to sign up or register for Shared Branching? (TOP ^)
No. Shared Branching is available to almost all USAgencies Credit Union members. However, if your account is past due or overdrawn, the transactions you can perform will be limited. If your account is not available at a CU Service Center, please call USACU at 800-452-0915 and ask to speak with one of our Member Service staff members.

What type of identification do I need to show to conduct a transaction? (TOP ^)
To ensure your account information is not compromised, Service Center employees will require you to properly identify yourself. You will need to identify yourself as a USAgencies Credit Union member, and provide your account number. You may be asked to verify the address and Social Security Number or Tax Identification number associated with your account. And, you will be asked to provide approved photo identification. A complete listing of approved identification is listed on our CU Service Center Identification page.

What if I can't remember my account number? (TOP ^)
Ask the Service Center representative to phone USAgencies Credit Union at 503-275-0300 or 800-452-0915. We will confirm your identity and provide you with your account number. You will still need to provide proper identification to the Service Center representative as stated above.

When will transactions post to my account? (TOP ^)
CU Service Center transactions will post just like transactions made at a USAgencies location. Deposits will be immediately credited, withdrawals will be immediately debited, and payments will be immediately applied. Deposits are subject to USAgencies check hold policies and may not be immediately available for withdrawal or transfer.

Can I conduct transactions on all of my saving, investment, and loan accounts using a CU Service Center? (TOP ^)
No. Not all CU Service Centers will be able to list all of your accounts. For example, many Service Centers will not "see" your Investment (certificate), or IRA information. Additionally, they will not be able to provide you with information on your USAgencies Visa or MasterCard accounts.

What type of transactions can be completed at a CU Service Center? (TOP ^)
A complete list of available transactions is listed on our Available Transactions page.

Am I charged fees to use a CU Service Center? (TOP ^)
Many transactions may be conducted without charge. A complete listing of transaction fees is listed on our Shared Branch Service Fee page.

When I look at my account statement, how will a CU Service Center transaction be identified? (TOP ^)
When you review your account statement, or when reviewing your transaction history using PC Branch, any transaction that is identified with "SC" is a Service Center transaction.
